ABOUT ME
MY STORY
After working for 5 years as a senior editor in broadcast, longform, social media and corporate videos; I made the transition into producing. This transition couldn't have felt more fitting; allowing me to incorporate my passion for writing, creative thinkin,g and collaboration; as well as my knowledge of post-production all in one role.
From TVCs to social media campaigns, to long-form videos, live stream videos and everything in between, working at Visual Domain I was able to to flourish as a Creative. I enjoyed working on a diverse range of projects, collaborated with some exceptional crew, and had the opportunity to produce my first series with WTFN ‘First On Scene’ and direct a number of TVCs and Corporate films. I also had the honour of leading One Day the charity arm of Visual Domain, which has been a huge passion project giving back videos to amazing organisations who need it most.
Currently I work at Eric, Tom and Bruce as a Senior Creative Producer working across a number of national campaigns and continuing to build upon my creative skillset. In my spare time I am co-producing the enigmatic, emotional and fabulous feature documentary ‘Aysha’.
If someone was to ask me how long I’ve been editing, I would naturally reply ‘forever’, and for once in my melodramatic life I wouldn’t even be exaggerating. I began editing in my late primary school years after watching my dad in awe editing our home videos.
Through my high school years this passion only grew and my interest in film and television flourished. The bachelor of communications (media) at RMIT seemed like the perfect fit, and with a major in film and television and minor in cinema studies my dedication to the industry only grew.
Volunteering at RMITV as a writer, assistant director and editor gave me my first true insight into what it takes to work on a proper set, and I loved every minute. My dedication to my work here lead to me being chosen to intern at 1440 productions, where I was given the most incredible opportunity of my career thus far working on the 12 part ABC3 doc series 'Heart & Soul'. I started as production assistant helping to organise a number of shoots in the USA, then began cutting selects in the editorial department before working my way up to edit an episode of the 12 part documentary series within less than a week.
